App Review: Wish Part 1.

Online shopping. It is the ultimate lottery draw isn't it? On the one hand, a large majority of clothing tends to cheaper than it's instore counter parts due to lack of store rent and less staff wages. However, the internet has yet to have built in fitting rooms or mirrors meaning that there is a little bit more guess work when it comes to clothing and make up.

So what happens if you try clothes and make up from an app that you have never used before? Well, that's today's app review for. Wish is a mobile shopping app that claims to offer over 100 million high quality items at 60-90% off the RRP. It also have an array of 'free gifts', where you merely pay your shipping fees. Now the catch with this, is that you are going to be wait a very long time for these products (for the things I've brought on Friday, I am expecting to wait between a month and 6 weeks for them to get here).

In terms of costing I paid £20.95 including shipping and handling for the following products:

  • 9 colour eyeshadow palette.
  • 15 colour shimmer eye palette.
  • 1 Super Sexy Skull Lip stain in a deep berry shade.
  • 1 white tank top with a black cat.
  • 1 red glitter lip stick (yes, I am aware, there is a pattern here).
  • 1 patchwork dress.
Needless to say, cost wise, I am very impressed with the value for money and just how much I could get for just over £20.

However, I cannot continue this review today. Because whilst ordering was super simple (literally tap, give you card number and go), the products won't be arriving until next month and therefore I cannot review the quality of the products until they get here.

So at the moment I am going to give Wish a 4/5 for it's cheap products, convenience of ordering and the wide variety of products available. Part two will also be out of 5 and will look at the actual quality of the products and whether I would order from Wish again.

So subscribe to the blog and wait until Mid September for the end of the review.
