How to enjoy make up when you're broke.
Make up, we all love it don't we? It doesn't care what gender you are, colour of skin or your ability status. If you want to beat your face, there is something for you. However, we are living in a time where beauty things are getting bloody expensive, so today, I decided to give some hints and tips to getting really good make-up at a low cost.
1. Them hoes aren't loyal, unless they're using a loyalty card.
If you tend to use certain shops for your make-up, loyalty cards are your best friends. Here are some of the best ones for low cost make-up.
- Boots Advantage Card: For every £1 you spend in Boots, you get 4 points. Each point is 1p to spend in store. This one is really good to combine with Boots' 3 for 2 on Christmas gifts, since your family and friends will get really good quality presents and you get a little treat. What's not to love?
- Body Shop's Love Your Body Club: For every £1 you spend in Body Shop, you get 10 points. When you hit 500 points, Body Shop will give you a £5 voucher to spend on whatever you like. What I also like is that they give you an extra £5 on your birthday and you will be invited to exclusive events.

2. Don't stick your nose up at low cost stores.
Once upon a time, low cost stores mean low quality. Places didn't really make much of an effort when it came to clothing, let alone make up. Fast forward to 2018 and now the likes of Primark are really stepping up their game.

3. If you are a student/serving in the military/work for the NHS/work for emergency services, keep an eye out for discounts.
A lot of companies offer certain discounts for a variety of occupations which could help your broke ass. A lot of the time, these discount cards/apps are free baring you can prove your occupation (student cards, military id, etc.). Best places to look for up to date bargains are:
- For Students: Unidays Beauty .
- For acting military/partners of military personal/veterans: Defence Discount Service
- For those who work in the NHS: Health Service Discounts
- For those who work in emergency Services: Blue light card

4. Consider signing up for a subscription box.
Now days, you can pretty much get a subscription box for anything. Whether it's snacks,
gin, or nerdy stuff. So it was only a matter of time before the beauty trend jumped aboard. You guys have already heard me talk about Birchbox on this blog. The monthly subscription that costs £12.95 including P&P and includes a variety of beauty products and samples. This month's box includes the Benefit blush in either Galifornia or Gold Rush. I reviewed Gold Rush earlier on this month and I also gave the Sand & Sky exfoliator rave reviews. A lot of the time, I wouldn't be able to afford this stuff without the Birchbox subscription.

5. Keep an eye out for #Ad.
If you have a favourite beauty blogger (other than me), make sure you follow their social media accounts and blogs. A lot of the time, beauty companies will contact them asking them to product a certain product and will offer a discount code or special link in exchange.
For example, I said that Birchbox costs £12.95 per month including P&P. However if you apply for the service via this link, you can get your first box for £7.95 including P&P, which means you can try it for a really cheap price and then decide if you want more boxes.
So there you have it. 5 ways that you can afford makeup without making your bank wail in agony. Do you have any other hints and tips? Tell me about them via the comments section. Next time, we're going to do a little challenge where we take one item of clothing and build 3 looks around it. Until then folks, remember you are beautiful.
